By posting your question to this list, we are assuming that you are interesting in our interpretation of the specification. It is obvious that you can read the language of the specification as well as any of us. So, the only added information that we can provide to you is how we believe the specification should be interpreted. So far, here is what I have gathered from YOUR postings to this list:
1. You have already examined the specification and formulated your own 'by the letter' interpretation (which is great, that's what it is for). 2. Any postings that provide a 'beyond the letter' interpretation, you reject because you are not interested in anything outside the scope of the black-n-white text. 3. The only posting that seems to be acceptable is "Yes, you have read the specification correctly. JNI is not disallowed." Therefore, any more posting on this thread will add no value to your original question. Now, if anyone is interested in discussing the 'hidden meaning' of the specification with regard to JNI from EJB, then please continue the discussion. Otherwise, could we please close this thread. "Yep, you are right, JNI is allowed, but I wouldn't do it because...". My Response: Ok but I not interested in whether it is good idea. I am only interested in whether the spec allows it. 2. "Nope it is not allowed, because..." My Response: These responses always go over one of the arguments that I already refuted. No one has directly given any conflicting opinion on the arguments I posted. 3. "...spec doesn't matter, because the container implementation might not let you do it anyways...". My Response: That point does not matter because I am not interested in whether a random container might or might not allow it. I am interested in what the spec says. =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff EJB-INTEREST".
