Vinicius,

Not sure what you mean by "Oracle friends", but here is a list
of some of the customers using JDev and BC4J...

http://www.oracle.com/ip/develop/ids/customers/

There are tons more customers using it that come through our online
discussion forums on our OTN site asking great technical
questions, so it's clear they are doing more than just
fiddling around with the framework.

With a free runtime license for the BC4J framework included in
a $995.00 copy of the commercial license of JDeveloper9i, it
makes it the least expensive fully-functional J2EE framework as well.
J2EE apps built with BC4J can deploy to any J2EE server and can
work with any relational database (not just Oracle9iAS and Oracle DB,
but BC4J-powered apps work very well with those two, of course!)

We also have about 800 internal developers at Oracle using BC4J
as their J2EE framework for building self-service web apps
in our Oracle Applications division. Many of the time-saving
application-building features of the framework have come from
our having worked directly with these developers over the
last 5 years.

In addition, our Oracle iLearning online "university" site is a J2EE
app built with the BC4J framework as well:

http://ilearning.oracle.com/ilearn/en/learner/jsp/user_home.jsp

Our latest release (9.0.3) has nice BC4J/Struts integration, too,
for using BC4J as the Model, JSP as the View, and Struts as
the Controller, and built-in BC4J/UML integration, too.

Hand-writing, testing, and debugging implementations of all the
design patterns can get pretty darn tedious... Why waste your time? :-)

Anyone has experienced - except for Oracle's friends - JDeveloper and BC4J in the
development of J2EE apps?

regards,

Vinicius
