Well, actually it wouldn't matter in my case because the data for the different clients would actually exist in different database instances. It's the schema structure which would be the same.
But if we did use inheritance then we could expect to have two home interfaces -- one for the parent (homeless) and one for the child (homeowner) (what would a non-OO person think about that last phrase...). The parent home would be able to find all parents AND children, whereas the child home would only find children.
