Hi Guys
I was wondering if WAS 4.x supports controlling the
number of bean instances that a server creates once an
EJB is deployed. Weblogic supports it via the
deployment descriptor for that EJB
<max-beans-in-pool>.
I dont really care much abt controlling the number of
Session/Entity instances but I do care abt controlling
the number of MDB instances - because that way I can
have a control on the number of consumers that I have
for my Queue. I know 4.x dosent really have an MDB -
but they do have an Session EJB which mimics an MDB
and in that they support controlling the number of JMS
sessions - which effectively boils down to number of
max active instances.
Does anyone have any idea whether WAS 5.0 will have
this feature - to control the number of MDBs/JMS
sessions?
What is the deal with other servers vendors like
Sun/Oracle?
thanks
Anamitra
