Use of Dependent Objects in EJB

Hello All,         We are currently addressing the issue of  dependent objects in our models using or relying on CMRs. But suppose there is a case where the dependent object is owned by the entity, how is it implemented using EJB 2.0 , at present the only portable way we have is to stream the object to the BOLB colum of schema, but is there any other alternative possible of this.
