Hi ,

I am new to EJB and have a basic doubt. I am working on an entity bean -
CMP (EJB 2.0) . It is having a few member variables which are mapped to DB
fields. Additionally it has a few member variables which are not mapped to
any of the DB fields. When the ejbLoad/ ejbStore gets called or any getXXXX
method is called the container will take the responsibility to sync data
with DB.
Now if ejbPassivate is called. When the EJB is activated again, what will
be the state of the instance variables which are not mapped to DB? Will
they retain their original value or will they be initialized to default ?

Waiting for a reply eagerly...

Thanks and Best Regards,
Leena.
