The following applies for both topics and queues:
ThreadSafe: Connection, ConnectionFactory, Destination
Non-ThreadSafe: Session, MessageConsumer, MessageProducer, MessageListener

Basically, anything associated with the session is single threaded.
Anything else is threadsafe.
