Hi Tom,
Adding it in debian means adding several NEW packages (as the soname
for ptlib and opal has changed). I planned to update them in two
months, when ekiga 3.2 appears (and leny is out). Or maybe doing it
for 3.0.2 too...?!
Hi, Damien is PL here, ask him.
For me unoffcial binaries of this release are satisfiable.
I do not really understand why debian is putting Ekiga in
"Experimental" state :/
Are you the only one :o) not to know that debian is preparing a new
stable release and only RC bug fixes are allowed in unstable/testing?
Hi Eugen,
yes i know, but from SW-QM/QA/CM-view i cannot agree to freeze unstable for a stable
release. but this is off-topic here.
Do we get 3.0.2 Release binaries for debian on snapshots server now, or do we want to
have announced a release without any binary support for debian?
We will not get a broad user and QA-feedback base for 3.0.2 if users must go through the non-complex
build processes themselves to get binaries and this could bring up a heap of extra annoying bug reports
from wrong build configurations and CM-inconsistent user environments again.

tom
