You point it right, most of the big opensource projects with great sucess
have been backed by companies who had interest in it. And I think that
really helps when there is a lack of programmers.

Apart from DiamondCard , I'm surprise there was no big companies/VOIP
players who invest some dev time in Ekiga. ( I might not be aware that they
are some in fact)

Maybe Mandriva or Novell people reading this list, would share their
thoughts on why their boss won't invest in such an important part of a
sucessful desktop ?
