Dear friends, Greetings to you all. Two major institutions (the top research university in Malaysia and the Dubai International Financial Centre, UAE) have jointly agreed to provide funding and facilities for an interesting forum for discussion of the current *hot topics* in Islamic Finance. As an inaugural attempt, a one day meeting is taking place. I have gathered a number of world-renowned scholars on Finance (with relevance to Islamic finance) to meet in Dubai on: Monday 3 May, 2010 www.registerwithdifc.com/sukuksymposium to discuss the first hot topic in Islamic Finance; *"Sukuk bonds: Theory, Prictices and Issues".* We have a one-day program, which is free for registration (on first come first basis) for those who wish to attend. Industry run events of this kind held over a day or two is charging up to US$ 3,000 for registration, but we feel that knowledge can only be obtianed if major players in the industry are willing to sponsor the event, and let interesated parties to register free of user-charge to subsidize the speakers. To help to develop a forum for discussion, this event needs your support in the form of registration and attendance. For this purpose, I am sending the flyer which is already in the web site promoting the event. The organizers plan to accept up to a number of registrations on first-come-first basis. You are invited to visit the web site shown above to do that. APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT IN BRINGING THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF YOUR FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES AND STUDENTS.
