The Islamic Development Bank, in collaboration with the Saudi Charity Campaign
for the Relief of East Asian Earthquake & Tidal waves Stricken victims,
undertaking assistance in housing and health related works. The IDB is desirous
to engage a Procurement Assistant to support its Field Office to undertake the
day-to-day operations of the IDB/Saudi Charity Campaign (SCC) projects in Aceh,
Indonesia. The term of engagement is for a period of twelve (12) months from
the date of appointment [renewable until completion of projects]. The IDB

Procurement Assistant
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Project Manager to implement the projects in Aceh, Indonesia.
2. Responsible for the preparation of reports, tender documents relating to
engineering projects and maintenance works.
3. Maintain records of engineering contracts, pertinent documents to assign
project(s), etc.
4. Prepare monthly reports relating to the projects under implementation.
5. Maintain good working relationships with Government Agencies/Ministries to
obtain the necessary permissions and clearances.
6. Daily management of the project, from the preliminary stages until closing
stages by referring to punctuality principle, on target and cost efficiency.
7. Define work plan and overall project(s) implementation program in
consultation with the Project Manager.
8. Coordinate with Detailed Engineering Design Consultant and Project
Management and Supervision Consultant, especially regarding detail/technical
design under each consultant and submit progress reports.
9. Establish and supervise the implementation schedule and make sure the
project(s) is on track in terms of timely implementation.
10. Conduct periodic coordination meeting with related parties and handle all
project implementation field issues.
11. Check/review invoices from consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering ,
Quantity Survey or equivalent.
* At least 3 year(s) of engineering and exposure to project
management experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Able to use Microsoft Excel and Words.
