Hello,

This is my first post to this groups, so welcome everybody.

I am evaluating Logstash+Elasticsearch+Kibana combo as a tool set for
collecting data from performance tests which I could later analyse visually
using Kibana.

I found two main features missing and I am not sure if this is just my
ignorance or they indeed don't exist.

Number one is possibility to plot on a chart like histogram panel multiple
data series but each using different document field. Histogram panel allows
displaying multiple series but they all have to come from the same field. I
know there might be a problem with queries returning documents having
multiple fields that would be displayed on the chart but I could make the
queries so it doesn't happen (or have documents which have only either
field). I found only one post asking about (I guess) the same feature but
with no replies. I also tried to check the latest source code for such
panels but found none. Is there any plan to develop such panel in near
future? Or maybe it is available somewhere else and I could add it to my
Kibana installation?

Another issue (and I think it might be major difference in how Kibana is
designed to what I need) is I would like to display charts comparing values
of the same field but over two different periods of time. It would let me
compare results from two tests to see how a given metric changed in two
tests. Would it be even possible to create such panel? (I guess it would
have to take care of specifying time range for queries instead of using the
one at the top of Kibana UI).

Best regards,
Piotr
