Hi Jim, Is the low TX power present on all bands?
Even though it may be fruitless, try the TX Gain calibration routine using the K3 Utility and a good dummy load. If you're doing the TX Gain cal manually, be sure to set the internal ATU (KAT3/3A) in 'BYPASS' before doing the calibration. The presence of low TX power when only the LPA module is engaged when zero power emanates after advancing the TX Power control beyond 11 watts is worrisome. Have you had any nearby lightning storms while the radio was connected to an antenna? Does the externally measured TX power decrease to less than 3 watts if you rotate the POWER control below that level, or is it stuck at 3 watts over the full range of the control (up to the 11 watt transition point)? 73, Mike, K8CN ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
