I will also be posting this to the Win4K3Suite reflector, but I wanted to
touch all bases.

The other night, while doing some FT8 operating, I changed bands to 80m.
I've operated on 80 plenty of times with this setup. The antenna connected
is a Comet CHA-250b vertical, and is resonant on all bands through a clever
bit of transformer work. Yes, it's a compromise antenna, but aren't they
all?

It was going okay, then suddenly the temperature on the amp went up a
little (I have a fan I put on the heat sink vanes to help keep it cool),
the SWR spiked for just a moment, and the power hasn't reported on the
control software since. The radio appears to be sending to the amp, and
when I turn it up to over 40w, the second LED on the bar graph flickers, as
that LED is the 50w light. So as far as the hardware goes, I *think* it's
putting out RF. But it isn't coming back on the CAT communications.
Everything ELSE is working fine, the IQ for the waterfall, the frequency,
the emission type, everything else seems fine. I'm wondering if I
inadvertently did a mischief to the amp. Is there something I can check to
make sure?
