This rig, K3 serial no. 3327, 100 watts, ATU, is one I recently picked up in trade. It’s a dual receiver K3, mint condition, with the following notable features:
1) Keypad and membrane recently replaced (what fails most often in these rigs); 2) Rig was further repaired by Elecraft to the tune of about $800 in May of this year (I have and can provide the paperwork – among other things, all of the encoders were changed, gold pins were added (as needed), final amp parts were replaced, tuner parts replaced, fixes for 1 amp auxiliary output power, KPOD power mod, general coverage mod to enable lower frequency coverage with the new synth, etc. - so, this is like a "certified pre-owned K3”); 3) Both main and subreceivers also now have the new synths; 4) Each receiver has 5, 8-pole filters (250, 1.8, 2.8, 6K, 13K) (so, 10 filters in total); 5) Rig has the DVR; 7) Rig has the General Coverage Bandpass filter board. Based on what I’m describing, I’m valuing the rig at $3,500/shipped - but will entertain reasonable offers. Will ship in an original Elecraft shipping box. Only selling because the rig greatly exceeds my current and anticipated needs. Might also entertain reasonable offers on the subreceiver (configured as needed - as the K3 itself, is truly pristine).
