Secondarily, this sounds like all of the station equipment was not properly bonded to a common point.  And, likely any outside ground was not bonded back to the AC Mains ground as specified by NEC.   Refer to the ARRL publication Station Grounding and Bonding by ARRL, Ward Silver.

I had a similar problem years ago.  Apparently a not-close lightning bolt
damaged the tx protection.  Elecraft Tech Support was very good in the
diagnosis and suggested I could do the repair but my skills are from the
vacuum tube days so I sent it back to Elecraft for repair.

I suggest you contact Elecraft support.
