Thank you all! I was reminded by one that tapping the DISPLAY button
will switch between waterfall+spectrum and just spectrum. AND, I
finally found my P3 manual. I have no idea who put it there. 😉

If the waterfall window is there but not showing any signals, then my
first guess is that REF LVL and perhaps SCALE are set so that the
noise floor is off the botttom of the screen.
