I am still reminded of the [VHF] incident with VOX where the fellow in southern Ohio running 900 Watts on 2 meters fell asleep during a net and his snoring [with VOX] tied up a repeater until someone drove over and woke him up.
Sorry guys just the lighter side of the VOX thread, have a great weekend! -- 73 Chuck AA8VS www.aa8vs.org/aa8vs FP #113 MI-QRP #1212 Firebird #2117 TSARC #3952 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Geoffrey Mackenzie-Kennedy Sent: Thursday, August 12, 2004 6:10 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Elecraft Discussion List Subject: [Elecraft] K2 VOX Hi Stewart, Have occasionally used VOX with my K2/100 ( 3255 ) for ragchewing and it seems to be OK - but would like an "Anti VOX" in there. Normally use PTT (Foot switch) in say a pile up. Just habit. Use Heil Pro-set Plus straight in - AF pre-amp not required on any band. Hope that this helps. Wont see any reply 'till tomorrow - am in " Digest " mode. 73 Geoff GM4ESD _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
