I had the Circuit Specialists 976 station, that is until it literally
went up in smoke(apparently the transistor failed in order to protect
the fuse). That's when I discovered that it's not transformer isolated
from the AC line! This may not be important to some, but it is to me.
Just bought the CSI-Station 2 from Circuit Specialists and it's a great
little unit. Heats fast, isolated from the line, nice slim iron and no
trouble at all. Even comes with a spare heater! Temp control appears
to work quite well, and heats fast. All in all a great deal for $49.95.
Ordered several tips, and all look fine.
I'm not in any way connected with Circuit Specialists, yadda yadda
yadda, just another satisfied customer.
