Hello and Happy New Year,

The temp is now in the 40's here in PA and is going up to 60's later. I have some things I have to do outside around the QTH but I can't pass up the Great weather.

So I should be on the air around between 15:30 and 16:00 UTC. I will be at the pond on the Appalachian Trail near Strausstown, PA. The location is around 1 mile south of the Route 183 crossing of the AT.

I will be using my K1 on 30 and 40 meters. Unfortunately I did not make my modifications to the four band board on my K1 yet so I will be using a SW20+ for 20 meters.

I will start out on 14.060 to 14.065 in a clear spot. I will work 20 meters for about 30 to 45 minutes and then I will try 10.106 MHz. I will call CQ for a while, if no replies I will go to 7.040 to 7.045 MHz for 30 to 45 minutes.

I am at the 401 QSO's from the Appalachian Trail. I have been going out on the AT every month to make a few QSO's since March 2000.

72 and Thanks,
Ron Polityka
