Vic (and others) I use both stepper motors and selsyns here for remote tuning applications.
I prefer the selsyns, but they are harder to come by. Besides the simplicity and torque, the selsyn has the advantage of haptic feedback. By far, the smartest way to turn a stepper is found in this article, on line: http://www.eham.net/articles/7231 No RFI, no electronics to fail, no microcontrollers to program. I have nothing against microcontrollers, but to have to write a computer program to turn a motor is, well, ummm, at least a violation of the KISS principle. 73 Steve KZ1X/4 K1# 1181 K2# 0771 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
