The Considerate Operator's Frequency Guide (http://www.arrl.org/files/file/conop.pdf) has changed in recent years. It seems many are unaware of this.
For example, on 40 meters the ARRL suggestion now is: 7.030 - QRP CW calling freq 7.040 - DX Data, (incl. RTTY and PSK31) 7.080 to 7.125 - RTTY/Data However, wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSK31) says: "Current usage as of 2010, based on observation, is centered on 7,070.15 and 21,070.15. There is no authoritative list as the frequencies are determined by common convention." Where do you guys work most of your 40 meter PSK31? Al W6LX Wikipedia is wrong (again). In my experience, all PSK31 (DX and non-DX) is centered around 7.036, and QRP CW is half near 7.040 and half elsewhere. And does anybody ever hear PSK31 at 7.080 or higher? I don't. Similar situations exist on other bands, too. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
