Putting the tuner at the base will be much more efficient than using the 
autotuner (or any 
tuner) at the rig end. If the tuner is at the base you will not need the unun.

As someone mentioned there was a huge discussion of this type of antenna a few 
weeks ago. 
Lots of 'attitude' was displayed. My recommendation is that you should install 
a ground 
system of at least 16 radials perhaps 20' long each (this is a 'minimum' ground 
system) 
and, if possible, use a remote tuner at the antenna base.
