Having used a P3 for several weeks, I can tell you that the built-in display is much better than one sees in the ads. In part, this is physiological...the eye is not fast enough to show the jaggies that show in a screen photo. My conclusion wrt display quality is that the LCD screen is quite acceptable. As a panadapter, the P3 is much nicer to work with than e.g. HDSDR/PMSDR or LP-Pan, which take up most of a screen with doo-dads. I should add that because the P3 uses a very fast ADC (60 MHz sampling rate!), one does not have to bother about the computer's sound card, in which the normal limit is 192 kHz or less (usually LESS, giving lower Nyquist frequencies...).
