Reading about the topic, and thinking about the VHF contest this w/e makes
me think of my transverter wish list.

I think a great addition to the line would be a 100 W, 2 meter linear to
follow the 10 W internal transverter. 

I would look for the following features:

1. Simple and inexpensive -- bells and whistles not needed.
2. No receive preamp needed.
3. careful design of TR switching to avoid loss during receive as found in
some other units.

Nothing magic about 100 W, except it should be compatible with power
supplies used for the K3/100. 
It could have a 3 dB transmit input pad to make it work with the standalone
unit and increase applicability to other units as well.

Someday, there could be a version for mast mounting with waterproof
enclosure, low gain preamp and switching over the coax -- but I'm not ready
for that.
