Hi Don Some hams are already playing around with similar techniques. Since the K3's 2 receivers are already phase coherent, we just need someone that can write the software/firmware.
http://www.pa0sim.nl/Results%20and%20Audio%20Samples.htm In my experience playing around with these systems, is that its best done with a true direct sampling receivers with no AGC. The Wiener Hopf beam steerer solution has been found to work well and would be practical for hams to implement. Find a DSP guru who is a ham and who has the interest! Everything from beam steering, noise cancellation and direction finding would then be possible. Alternatively pick up the phone and call Rohde and Schwarz, they can sell you of the shelf hardware that will do the job, bring along your lottery ticket winnings! 73 John elecraft@mailman.qth.net --- On Wed, 6/8/11, gold...@charter.net <gold...@charter.net> wrote: > From: gold...@charter.net <gold...@charter.net> > Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3: Why isn't this feature built in? > To: "Tim Tucker" <ae...@worldwidedx.com> > Cc: "Elecraft Reflector" <elecraft@mailman.qth.net> > Date: Wednesday, June 8, 2011, 7:14 PM > I dont know about built in feature, > but I have an ANC-4 that once and > awhile I have to turn on to kill the noise from plasma > TV's. > > Sure do like digital modes where the TV noise is not that > bad for me. > > > > Don > KD8NNU > > > On Wed, Jun 8, 2011 at 4:33 PM, Tim Tucker wrote: > > > OK, so it's somewhat of a loaded question to get > people to read the > > post, > > but here goes: > > > > I recently installed the transverter/RX antenna board > in my K3.
