Hello all. Perhaps someone will have experienced a similar problem and can point me in the right direction.
The rig is a new (less than 2 months old) factory-built K3-100 rig that has already had its fair share of problems (IF cable missing upon shipping, power component defect that blew part of the power system and rig had to be shipped back to the factory). Now this has suddenly popped up. I'm starting to wonder if I have a defective rig. I have a Heli foot switch with both a RCA and a 1/4" plug. I have been running with the RCA connector into the PTT IN on the back of the K3. Suddenly, this evening it doesn't work. If I switch to the front mic connector with the Heil adapter cable, I can use either the RCA or 1/4" connectors with no issue, so I know the RCA connector is good. The problem seems to lie with the PTT IN jack on the back of the rig. Anyone ever have one of these go bad?
