This morning I lost reception on 40 meters in my primary receiver. Everything else worked - transmit OK, receive OK on all other bands, second receiver OK.
After adding an on-off switch to my LP-PAN (which I've wanted to do for a long time) and checking it out , and reloading K3 firmware- I discovered that, on 40 meters, "RX" was displayed on the K3's LCD. It wasn't displayed on any other band. After slapping the forehead, I turned "RX ANT" off and all was normal again. I ain't got no antenna on "RX". And no memory of turning it on. But I must have while trying to tune in old friends up north.
