I have a K3 driving an Acom 2000A. Using AXETTY (MMTTY) on RTTY. If I am using SSB or CW I have no amp alarm issues. I use QSK all the time with QRQ ON and have no alarm issues ever.
However when on RTTY (FSK) about once in every 8 transmits I get an alarm on my amp at the end of the transmission - "Ant Relay Closed, It Should Be Open". This is interesting because the alarm happens only when the amp and K3 are switching from transmit to receive. I am not sure if I should be focusing on the software. But figured I would see if there is something in the K3 firmware that adjusts the time from transmit to receive. Maybe I am still putting out RF when the amp is trying to switch to receive? Maybe something in AXETTY/MMTTY that can help this? When I get some time I plan on replacing the input and output relays in the Acom, just in case. They are the original relays in this 12 year old amp. It is such a pain to haul down the amp. I have a shelf hung from the basement ceiling which holds the amp right below my shack. I only have the RCU in the shack. Now where is that KPA1500? Thanks for any advice. 73, N2TK, Tony ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
