But mine is a downconverter for xmit. But no reason it could not be used for receive providing you place a good LF preamp ahead of the mixer (minicircuits SBL-1). In my case I am using my station 10-MHz reference oscillator as LO and running the K3 in test-mode at 10.470-10.510 MHz with output at 470-510 KHz. I LP fllter is needed on the output of the mixer circuit.
