Very few of these have anything to do with the computer operated by the guy
whose e-mail address appears as the sender. 

It comes from some computer where a message from the person was received,
either directly or through an e-mail list like this. The virus scans the
computer e-mail program harvesting them and then appends them to its
message(s). 

If you have ever sent an e-mail to anyone or to any e-mail list, you are in
danger of having your e-mail address "hijacked".
