Thanks to Elecraft for providing 50 to 60 hours of great fun and entertainment with some trepidation while building my new K2 transceiver. Everything went well in the first phase of the build, only to be challenged with a few issues in phase II. After about 5 hours of troubleshooting with the help of Don Wilhem, I got the receiver functioning. Phase III was completed today without issue and the transmitter worked as advertised from the moment I turned the transceiver back on. All that was left was to align and calibrate and a few hours later, the basic transceiver was complete.
Thanks also goes out Mychael Morohovich, the Tyroidguy for the pre-assembled toroids. I think that buying pre-built toroids really made the whole process a lot easier. So now I'm off to build the options and get them into the radio. What Great Fun and what a great radio.
