Don, This has been a frequent request for the K2. The K2 internal speaker is just fine for a quiet room, but is lacking if the operator has hearing loss or the location is other than a "quiet room".
I would suggest building an external amplified speaker. OTOH, you may find a set of computer speakers that will do the job as well.
