Hi Mart,

you could just connect the last sequencer port (RIG RX/TX) to the PTT input 
on the microphone connector, too, saving the GPIO for other functions.

Even simplier will probably be to use the GPIO's TX-INHIBIT function (can be 
selected by the menu then). That will ensure although PTT/CW is pressed the 
KX3 will not put out any power until unlocked from the sequencer. Advantage 
is you can connect all directly to the KX3, i.e. mic and CW key, use the 
PTT-OUT from the KX3 to trigger the sequencer and that's it. Works ufb on my 
K3 (same logic; contact me directly if you need more info, don't have 
schematics, PCB layout, etc. on my website yet). So no need to route the mic 
and key through the sequencer first making wiring a lot easier and being 
able to also use the K3's and KX3's internal voice & cw keyer. :-))
