Hi Mart, you could just connect the last sequencer port (RIG RX/TX) to the PTT input on the microphone connector, too, saving the GPIO for other functions.
Even simplier will probably be to use the GPIO's TX-INHIBIT function (can be selected by the menu then). That will ensure although PTT/CW is pressed the KX3 will not put out any power until unlocked from the sequencer. Advantage is you can connect all directly to the KX3, i.e. mic and CW key, use the PTT-OUT from the KX3 to trigger the sequencer and that's it. Works ufb on my K3 (same logic; contact me directly if you need more info, don't have schematics, PCB layout, etc. on my website yet). So no need to route the mic and key through the sequencer first making wiring a lot easier and being able to also use the K3's and KX3's internal voice & cw keyer. :-)) Vy 73, Olli - DH8BQA http://www.dh8bqa.de ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mart Tagasaar" <mart.tagas...@gmail.com> To: <elecraft@mailman.qth.net> Sent: Friday, March 16, 2012 3:38 PM Subject: [Elecraft] KX3 ACC2 description > Hi Don, > Is it possible to program GPIO pin to be a "standard" PTT INPUT ( GND to > XMIT mode) ? > I'm asking because to control my VUSHF X-verters I have standalone RX/TX > sequencer and > this unit take care about ANT-REL, LNA, PA, XVERT and RIG RX7TX timing. > > 73! de ES2NJ > Mart > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > > > ----- > eMail ist virenfrei. > Von AVG uberpruft - www.avg.de > Version: 2012.0.1913 / Virendatenbank: 2114/4873 - Ausgabedatum: > 15.03.2012 > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
