Thanks to Tom N0SS and Lyle KK7P for pointing out the blindingly obvious mistake on my part! I have obviously changed the settings but I can't remember it at all! I must have done it though ;-)
I had the centre set outside the tone and so I could hear nothing. Actually it could be seen quite easily with Spectrogram. Now, on with that code, thanks guys.
