============ Of course. The suggestion to use non-polarized was probably not serious. Still, they do make a lot of screens go black: the local ATM and my car radio are two examples. The funniest side-effect is that some women who dye their hair show up with a bizarre coif that looks as if it had been applied with a paintbrush. This adds greatly to the entertainment value of walking on a busy sidewalk.
