While using HRD DM780 to try to copy some PSK, I found "BARS" in the waterfall which made the copying of signals nearly impossible. Thanks to a couple of guys here and especially Don, I found that my KX3 while in DATA A mode still had audio effects available. When I manually turned them to OFF, the "BARS" went away. I did not check to see if compression went off and the equalizers went flat yet though. I am guessing those should go off automatically when any of the DATA modes are selected. I am using the last regular release software (1.06 ?).
