That won't accomplish anything other than to make a lot more work for 
the Elecraft guys.  It doesn't cost the spammers the slightest 
measurable bit extra ... in terms of money, time, or effort ... to send 
messages to a dead end once they have the address.  The only thing that 
it does is prevent them from being able to represent the address to 
their reprehensible clients as a "premium" one ... i.e., vulnerable.

Besides, at least some of these spam emails are the result of some list 
user's address book being compromised, and there's nothing to prevent 
that happening to multiple users over and over again. Putting the list 
on moderate status might make things nicer for us, but it doesn't make 
the spammers go away ... ever.
