Yes my K3/K144XV does the same. When it showed 181 MHz on the VFO A display (after entering 145) ERR PL1 also appeared briefly on the VFO B display. Then, after using the bandswitch to go to 2m the VFO A display started with 144.000 MHz but on subsequent visits to 2m via the bandswitch it stayed where I had left it, as normal, and did not revert to 144.000 MHz
