Gosh, what a refereshing thread! Imagine - some CW Ops actually use
BUGS!!!
I have the Vibroplex extension for my 1964 Champion (I bought it with
paper route $$ and took it to sea when I joined the Navy) and it still
works FB. If you have a "round arm" key, you can visit your local hobby
shop and get some brass sleeving to extend the arm. Personally, I
prefer an arm extension to just adding weight. Seems to make the key
behave better.
Now, if anyone reading here *really* wants to target slow speed CW,
check out the VIZ VERTICAL at www.vizkey.com. Slowing down to help the
newbies is very satisfying. Having that "just right feel" makes it even
more appealing to you and can motivate you to spend more time with the
slower folks and help them build their confidence and speed.
Long live "real" CW (manual keys and brains).
