I used my K3 at 1 watt this past spring and summer to work QRP DXCC.  Also
worked a couple of Eurpean stations at .1 watt.  Got a QRPp certificate for
that.  Lots of fun but somewhat challenging.

I agree that the K3 is an amazing QRP rig.  Ran the K3 at 5W on ssb 
sweepstakes with great results. Think I had a few non believers that I 
was really QRP.  No regrets geting the KPA3 for full power but still 
enjoy QRP on a regular basis and for this the K3 rocks.  I really enjoy 
the ability to adjust power at such fine steps.    Want to run at 1W. 
500mw 100mw?    I can do it.   an uncommon option on many other rigs.
