Wow!! After I greeted Tom and Curt checked in my first CQ was followed by
a wall of sound! I caught two calls and began with Ray and Dick. The
band was wide open to at least as far as New Zealand. Mike made sure he
contacted both Tom and I during the net. I may have missed one or two
calls in the maelstrom but it was fun. Too bad my fist was not working
tonight. I apologize for that but the deck and the wood pile are doing
nicely. My hand was still running a drill, a chainsaw, and a hammer so
the paddles were not getting used properly. I assure you the neurons to
the forearm were sending the correct signals (good excuse Kevin) but the
hand was simply not cooperating. Sorry for the hash I was sending in
place of CW. You will have to extend your compassion to my mentor Sam who
will hear me tomorrow morning after a night to stiffen up! Aspirin: must
make a note to myself.
On to the list.

The net ran until 2307z so I got a workout. Talk about playing with
pain. I had to eat left handed since my right hand was absolutely shot
after the net. Lots of folks were enjoying themselves on the air and some
came to find out what the noise was all about. You are welcome to come
back again and join us each Sunday if you like.
Thank you for the response to my first CQ. It is always a shock to be the
cause of a pileup like that. Can't wait to run the net from some exotic
country ;) Pat and I will be in Hawaii in December so we may have to try
at least starting the net from there. Or maybe settle for checking in. I
have yet to try that aspect of this affair. Maybe send myself a QSL card
with guest #350 on it!
As ever, if there are any errors or fills necessary in the above list
please send them to me. I'll fix the database and post errata to the
reflector. We are gathering quite a number of SNs too. Approximately 300
of them. Now to chalk up DE and SD for Elecraft CW WAS. I am sure there
will be some wall paper for that accomplishment ;)
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Truly Net Control Operator 5th Class)
