On my p3 with the KAT500 tuned to 28.004434 the birdie is -95 dBm.
when I turn the KPA500 off it is still there at -110 dBm.

In my opinion that indicates the birdie is from the K3.  When I turn
my 4 el Yagi-Uda to the south which puts the antenna 40 ft above and
30 ft North of the tower the signal rises to -112 dBm, also
indicating the signal is from the K3.

There is another weak birdie at 28.000388 that is -105 dBm.  this one
completely disappears when power is removed.
