Hmmm, HRO doesn't sell Elecraft, can't get in on the Elecraft action,
ergo, blame the K3.  Sounds about right.  OTOH, it's easy to put a 20 dB
pad ahead of your K3 and check his signal again.  That should give a
good idea of what is really going on.
