On the KAT2 a number of toroid cores are prepared and installed. L1 and L2 are to be prepared with an extremely exact length of solid hookup wire. The assembly instruction mentions that toroid cores "remain somewhat loose" within the winding. That is to put it mildly. They act like a baby's rattle. Do they really have to be like that, or may you shorten the length of the hook-up wire without operating deficiencies.?
