I would suggest you build the K2 first so you can test the options as you build them. The K2 manual indicates when you can install the headers and changes to the K2 in the latter parts of the assembly process.

If you build the options first and "install them as you go" with the base K2 build, should a problem occur, you will not know whether it is a problem with the option or the base K2.
