I agree with George about the new Palstar HF-Auto..... but it has stepper motors and costs $1500 also not the same class of tuner plus it's a legal limit tuner.

Regardless of the 'rattle' of the kat500, once done on all bands needed, the result is you only get a 'click' on band change and qsy if a new bin memory is asserted.
