Here in the plains the closest thing to a mountain top is a gopher mound. Seriously though, repeater activity is almost dead compared to what it once was.

Here along the west coast of the USA we use a simple 1/4 wave whip for repeater connections since we are working a repeater on a mountain top in line-of-sight from the rig. The Yagi's and other gain antennas are for CW/SSB/DATA over long paths with horizontal polarization. 73 Ron AC7AC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
