Interested in this thread.. the KX-3 seems a tad low on TX audio gain. I use the same mic/headsets on my K2 and K3 with stacks of audio. Temp fix has been making an audio preamp powered from small battery
Tried using the +3.5 volt mic-bias supply but got into all sorts of RF feedback problems.
