Title is "sdr-ir pan adapter" but Doug states he has a SDR-IQ. Is this a typo?

Since you have the SDR-IQ, I can address use of it with the K3 (as I have both radios). Spectravue only controls the SDR-IQ to my knowledge. You can use the SDR-IQ by itself and tune from 500-Hz to 30-MHz, or you can connect it to the K3 IF output and tune the SDR-IQ to 8.215 MHz to use it with the K3 as a pan adapter. You tune the K3 via front control panel as normal. The SDR-IQ can be changed in band span to cover as much spectrum as desired up to 190-KHz. Several demodulation modes are available if you wish to listen to the SDR-IQ (via your computer soundcard).

I am not familiar with use of SDR-radio.com.

I normally tee the SDR-IQ with the K3 aux Rx input so I can use them as dual Rx. I mostly use my SDR-IQ on the 600m band or looking at the 28-MHz IF from my VHF/UHF/mw transverters. Recently, I have been making Sun Noise observations on 1296 MHz with my 16-foot dish using the SDR-IQ as a spectrum analyzer.

I also use two LP-Pan with my K3 (has the sub-Rx).
